Stanly County taps new EDC director

Stanly County officials announced Tuesday that Kevin Gullette, the current Economic Development and Tourism Director for the City of Fredericksburg, Va., has accepted the County's offer to become the Economic Development Director for Stanly County. The Board of County Commissioners will take official action to appoint Kevin Gullette on Tuesday, Oct. 6.
Kevin has more than 12 years of economic development experience, according to a press release from the Stanly County Manager's Office, including serving as Executive Director for Historic South End, Incorporated in Charlotte, Director of Economic Development in Anson County and most recently as Director of Economic Development and Tourism in Fredericksburg, Va.
Gullette is a graduate of St. Andrew's College in Laurinburg and Oklahoma University's Economic Development Institute, according to the release.
Gullette and his family will be relocating to Stanly County, where he is expected to begin working on Monday, Nov. 3.
