The Northwest Cabarrus boys track team won a tri-meet Tuesday at Statesville.
Northwest scored 100 points, followed by Statesville's 47 and South Rowan's 35.
Individual event winners for the Trojans were: Richie Lane, 110 and 300 hurdles; Trevor Anderson, long jump and triple jump; Daniel Fredette, shot put; Richard Cotton, 400 run; Garrett West, 800; and Chase Fisher, 3200 run.
West's winning time of 1:56.5 is a school record.
The Northwest girls also won, totaling 93.5 points. Statesville scored 43.5 and South Rowan 34.
Individual event winners for Northwest were: Sushannie Blake, 100, 200 and 400; Maklisha Ford, 100 hurdles, long jump and triple jump; Onie Miller, shot put; Samantha Herring, 1600 run; Kamesha Atwell, 300 hurdles; and Arianna Tucker, high jump.
