The Jay M. Robinson soccer team played to a scoreless tie with Mallard Creek in MECA Conference action Wednesday night at Robinson.
Sam Walker made six saves in goal for the Bulldogs.
Robinson coach Todd Spinell also credit the play of his four defenders – Madison Roche, Ashley Austin, Rachel Eklund and Sammie Magabgab.
"They really played well for us, especially in the first half. They came up big.
"Both teams had an equal amount of (scoring) opportunities, but our best chances came in the second half."
Mallard Creek held a 12-10 advantage in shots.
The Bulldogs (5-3-1, 4-1-1) stand in second place in the conference behind North Mecklenburg, which has one league loss.
Robinson travels to A.L. Brown for a nonconference game on Monday.
