The Mount Pleasant softball team beat North Stanly 8-4 Tuesday in Rocky River Conference play.
The undefeated Tigers (14-0, 10-0) scored six runs in the fifth inning to take control.
Winning pitcher Taylor Carpenter allowed one earned run. She gave up six hits, striking out nine and walking one.
Taylor Miller homered twice for the Tigers, hitting a two-run shot in the fifth and a solo homer in the seventh.
Georgia Parker's two hits included a triple. Sarah Ritchie doubled in the win.
Mount Pleasant hosts Monroe on Thursday at 7 p.m.
