Brittany David pitched a no-hitter and the first-place Northwest Cabarrus softball team rolled to a 10-0 shutout of Statesville on Thursday at Northwest.
David struck out 10 and walked none. The lone blemish was one hit batter.
Offensively, Lauren Duncan went 3 for 3 with one RBI, while Alex Yohe hit a solo homer and drove in two runs.
Taylor Beam went 2 for 4 with a triple and two RBIs and Taylor Allen added one hit and two RBIs.
The Trojans ended the game by scoring four runs in the fifth, all with no outs.
Northwest (8-3, 8-1) leads second-place East Rowan in the North Piedmont Conference.
