One person hurt in early morning fire in Kannapolis

KANNAPOLIS - One person was burned in an early morning fire in Kannapolis.

Flames and heavy smoke were shooting out the back of the home at 509 Short Street when fire fighters arrived on the scene. Three people were in the house at the time of the fire. The burn victim was sent to CMC-NorthEast for treatment.

The fire is still under investigation.
