Six charged in Rowan drug bust

Over the last two months, the Rowan County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Unit conducted several undercover operations which involved undercover detectives purchasing narcotics. The operation targeted suspects selling controlled substances at many locations around Rowan County.

On Thursday, in a combined effort between the Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division and Salisbury Police Department, arrests were made of several suspected drug dealers.

During the operation, the following arrests were made:

Erica Fox, 21, of 155 Misty Lane, Rockwell. Fox was charged with P/W/I/S/D Marijuana (2 counts), Sell and Deliver Marijuana (2 counts) P/W/I/T/S/D Sch. I "Ecstacy" (2 counts), Sell and Deliver Sch. I "Ecstacy" (2 counts), Conspiracy to Sell and Deliver Controlled Substances (2 counts);

Vickie Ranzinger, 42, also of 155 Misty Lane, Rockwell. Ranzinger was charged with P/W/I/S/D Marijuana, Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Maintaining a Dwelling to Store and Sell Controlled Substances;

Michael Bost, 20, of 150 Drew Cir., Salisbury. Bost was charged with P/W/I/T/S/D Sch. III, Sell and Deliver Sch. III;

Gaston Goodman, 20, of 114 Lauren Lane, Salisbury. Goodman was charged with P/W/I/T/S/D Sch. III, Trafficking in Opium (3 counts), Maintaining a Vehicle to Sell Controlled Substances;

William Bret Adkins, 22, of 338 Sunset Manor Apt., Salisbury. Adkins was charged with P/W/I/T/S/D Marijuana, Sell and Deliver Marijuana;

James Baker Sr., 73, of 1110 Inglewood Lane, Salisbury. Baker was charged with P/W/I/T/S/D Sch. II, P/W/I/T/S/D Sch. III (2 counts), Maintaining a Dwelling to Sell Controlled Substances, Trafficking in Opium (4 counts).

During his arrest, Baker was located at Tamarack Marina. Baker was discovered to be in possession of pills and a firearm concealed on his person. Baker was charged with additional charges of: Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and P/W/I/T/S/D Sch. II.

At this time, the Sheriff's Office is still seeking the following suspects that haven't been located. Detectives hold warrants for their arrest.

Shane Thomas Newsome, 24, of 3608 Old Mocksville Ave., Salisbury;

Jonathan Newsome, 20, of 3608 Old Mocksville Ave., Salisbury;

Amber Deagostino, 22, of 17370 Dooley Rd., Cleveland;

Larry Cruse, B/M , 21 year old, 812 E. Franklin St., Salisbury;
