Snow closes Cabarrus, Kannapolis schools

Up to 3 inches of snow fell in the region Tuesday night and this morning.

Cabarrus County and Kannapolis schools were closed. Stanly schools also were closed.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg and Rowan-Salisbury schools were closed for students. It's an optional work day for teachers.
