The Rowan County Sheriff's Office arrested a Kannapolis man Monday and charged him with trafficking in opium.
Sheriff's officers took Glenn Douglas Rogers into custody at his 6700 Goldfish Rd. residence, according to a report.
They served warrants for allegedly trafficking in opium, possession with intent to sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance and sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance, Rowan County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Capt. John Sifford said.
An undercover operation had been conducted in which Rogers sold an undercover officer 45 dosage units of methadone on March 12, 2008, Sifford said.
Rogers had moved from his previous residence and investigators were unable to locate him until recently.
Rogers was placed in the Rowan County Detention center under $30,000 secured bond.
His first appearance in court will be Wednesday, Sifford said.
