Harrisburg teen in stable condition after shooting

A 15-year-old Harrisburg male is in stable condition after reporting he was shot in the chest on Thursday morning, according to the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office.

Cabarrus County Sheriff's deputies, EMS and the Harrisburg Fire Department were dispatched to the Canterfield subdivision in Harrisburg after the male called 911 at 10:23 a.m. to say he had been shot by another person. He was transported to CMC-NorthEast.

Caleb Richard Peterson, 16, of 6649 Sequoia Hills Drive, Harrisburg, and Dmitriy Vladislavov Livetskiy, 20, of 7020 Winding Cedar Trail, Harrisburg, were arrested near the scene. They were held in Cabarrus County Jail.

Peterson was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury; possession of a firearm by minor; resist, obstruct and delay; and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held under a $8,000 bond.

Livetskiy was charged with giving a firearm to a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is being held under a $4,000 bond.
