The Concord Spiders baseball team edged Hickory Ridge 9-8 Friday.
The Spiders scored five runs in the sixth inning to rally from a 7-4 deficit in the opener.
Garrett Todd had three hits in the win, and Kyle Smith hit a two-run homer.
Ryan Goodman, Tyler Burris, Patrick Jenkins and Dylan Pack added two hits each.
Goodman was the winning pitcher, giving up two unearned runs in three innings. He struck out three.
