City schedules Earth Day events at Frank Liske Park

CONCORD - The City of Concord, Cabarrus County and other groups will celebrate Earth Day on from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 18 at Frank Liske Park.
Environmental professionals and stewards will provide information and will host activities and demonstrations.
Self-proclaimed junk artist John Morehead will create sculptures from trash containers and yard sale finds.
Participants also will learn how to make compost and protect water quality, and why water must be conserved.
