Concord edges Marvin Ridge

The Concord softball team edged Marvin Ridge 6-5 in South Piedmont Conference play.
Carlie Bodder and Casey Shue homered in the win.
Bodder, Shannon Arthur and Shue had two hits. Caitlin Steele hit a two-run triple.
Kristin Durant was the winning pitcher, throwing a six-hitter. She struck out eight as the Spiders improved to 2-3 in the SPC and 3-4 overall.
Concord hosts Parkwood on Friday.
