CHARLOTTE - The Billy Graham Library will close for three months next year for renovations.
The Charlotte Observer reported Monday the museum-style library honoring the North Carolina evangelist will close Jan. 9 and reopen April 1.
Spokeswoman Lauren Horton says plans include audio improvements. Horton says the sounds from various exhibits are bleeding together.
The library grounds, including Billy Graham's boyhood home and the grave of his wife, Ruth, will remain open.
The $27 million library opened in 2007 and attracted 165,000 visitors in its first year.
Horton could not say how much the renovations would cost. She says no layoffs are planned.
The renovations will include more video offerings in an exhibit on Graham's years on radio and television.
