What life and professional experiences do you feel will help you, if elected?
As a manager in the family business I have been taught the value of hard work. When you work in the service industry, you come across a variety of people. Growing up in restaurants has given me the ability to appreciate the diversity of our citizens.

What are the three biggest issues facing your constituency and your community?
Three biggest issues facing the community: small business, quality of life, cultural preservation and growth. Small business is the the most important issue facing our city. Small businesses are simply not valued by our city and local business commerce organization. It seems that businesses are leaving our city and moving across borders to friendlier, pro-small business areas. If elected, I would fight to preserve opportunities for small business by increasing and prioritizing their use in city contracts. It is a shame that no Kannapolis citizen will ever tell his or her grandchild, "I laid the brick, or did the plumbing, or pored the foundation for the research campus." When looking toward the future we must be pro-active in establishing an environment where business grows and is valued in the decision making process.

What specifically would you do to spur economic development and bring jobs, if elected?
To spur economic growth our city should review and amend areas of the Unified Development Ordinance to promote and create business growth

What is your vision for the community that would shape your decisions, if elected?
My vision of Kannapolis is one where our community is actively engaged and included in the decision making process. Imagine a city where businesses thrive, work together for the common good of the city. Imagine a city where education, culture, and commerce are valued and rewarded. Imagine a city where dialogue is valued from its citizens and tax payers.

Do you have any hobbies?
Soccer, Yoga, Music, Politics, Religion, Traveling

What is the last book you have read?
Social and Political Philosophy, James Sterba
