What life and professional experiences do you feel will help you, if elected?
Currently on the Town's Planning & Zoning Board, chairman for the town's Conservation District Committee, original member of the Rocky River Crossings Home Owners Association Board with some time spent as its President. Worked in the computer industry for many years as a computer operations mgr, team leader, Infrastructure Analyst, and a computer programmer. A financial person that assisted with budgets, audits, inventories, and assisted with many other types of projects during my work career.
What are the three biggest issues facing your constituency and your community?
1) The empty lots and vacant buildings within our town center is my biggest concern. Other than the Aldi's grocery store, there has been no growth or development in the town center and that area has looked the same for many years. 2) A continued support of the Cabarrus County's Sheriff's Department and the local Fire Department which is essential to keep our residents and businesses safe and secure. 3) Look for other options to provide water for our town.
What specifically would you do to spur economic development and bring jobs, if elected?
To spur economic development and jobs: I'd like to work with the Cabarrus County Economic Development team, and see what Harrisburg's options are for bringing industry to Harrisburg to help create jobs.
What is your vision for the community that would shape your decisions, if elected?
I don't see the Town Center Area getting fully developed anytime soon and I do see the area on the West side of town on Rocky River Road getting fully developed with small businesses, homes and possibly a hospital being built in this area.
Do you have any hobbies?
Riding my bike, walking my dog, "retired" softball player, and l enjoy volunteering at Lowes Speedway and Z-Max DragWay, during events to support a local church and Speedway Children's Charities.
What is the last book you have read?
Abe Lincoln, the Unknown
