The North Carolina Education Lottery today presented Michael Weems of Albemarle the keys to a new 2009 Harley-Davidson Fat Bob motorcycle. Weems won the motorcycle prize in the third and final NCEL Harley-Davidson game drawing.
Weems said it has been some time since he owned his own motorcycle, but he is very excited about hitting the roads on this one. He said when he found out he had won he pulled out his old helmet, but decided it just wouldn't do so he bought a new one.
Weems purchased his ticket at the Stanly County Handi Mart on NC Highway 24/27 in Albemarle.
NCEL officials congratulated Weems during an event at Tilley Harley-Davidson of Salisbury. Weems started up the motorcycle and got a look at some of the Harley-Davidson® merchandise that was also part of his prize.
The Harley-Davidson game had a total of six 2009 Harley-Davidson Fat Bob motorcycles that players could win instantly and three that could be won through second chance drawings. All the motorcycles and the top prizes of $75,000 in the game have been claimed.
More details on the winners can be found on the NCEL Web site at www.nc-educationlottery.org.
